Hi, my name is Tina Walters, and I am a License Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and Florida. I have been a licensed clinician for over 20 years providing mental health services to children, teens and adults. I am also licensed through the National Guild of Hypnotists as a hypnotherapist. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago, and my master’s degree from Roosevelt University of Chicago. I became a clinician as I wanted to help others, to experience more joy in life. 

My specialties include working with children who have struggles with behavioral and emotional challenges, and with adults who want to find alternative ways to improve their overall wellness.  I have extensive experience working in crisis evaluation and stabilization. My working environments include school settings, inpatient psychiatric units, hospital emergency departments, community mental health agencies, and private practice. I utilize a positive, person-centered approach, emphasizing cognitive strategies to help identify healthier ways of managing life. You can expect me to provide you with a caring, solution focused attitude during our work together.
